fubuki吹雪・Fubuki

Fubuki,” a type of usucha container, is a variation of “nakatsugi.”  The lid and the body are both beveled, and where they meet is rather high – to be similar to “natsume.”

Because of the beveling at the top and the bottom, the name “fubuki” (snow blizzard) was given as you couldn’t tell up from down in a blizzard.

If beveling is only applied to the lid, it is called “men-nakatsugi.”
