O’o’uchi-giri-kinran” (brocade with the O’o’uchi-style paulownia crest) displays paulownia leaves and flowers woven of gold thread.  The middle branch has 7 flowers, whereas the two branches on the right and left have 5 flowers.  It is said that the feudal lord, Yoshitaka O’o’uchi of Su’o’u Yamaguchi Province (today’s Yamaguchi Prefecture)(1507-1551) had the fabric woven in the Ming Dynasty China.

One of shifuku for Izumo Katatsuhi was made with this fabric.
