Yamaguchi Convention Series No. 5 is  the “Kagetsu-ro’u” tea house at “Sho’u’in jinja” shrine in Hagi.

Shigetaka Mo’uri, the 7th lord of Hagi Province, originally had it built in 1776 within his villa in Mitajiri (Ho’ufu).  It was built based on the design by Fuhaku Kawakami (the founder of Edosenke), a student under Joshin-sa’i.  The tea room was moved and preserved at the residences of Kyu’uwa Takeda in 1805, and then of Yajiro’u Shinagawa (a graduate of ) in 1888, respectively until it was finally relocated to the present site within the shrine complex.
