For our shachu‘s hatsugama the other day, we used kobukurodana.

Kobukurodana was reportedly favored by the 13th Grand Master Sokuchu’u-sa’i.  There is a base board and, to its right, a “cupboard” with a removable door.  The “origin” of kobukurodana is jo’u’o’udana.  Remove the top board and the columns, as well as the left side “cupboard”.  Leave only the base board on the left.  And you get kobukurodana.

You can place furo on the base board.  If desired, it can be removed to use the “cupboard” by itself.
