献茶式のお道具・Utensils for Kencha Ceremony

2015年2月表千家ハワイ支部60周年、及び第二次世界大戦終戦70周年記念献茶式典で使われたお道具一部の写真です。

Here are photographs of some of the utensils used for kencha (dedication tea) during the Omotesenke Hawaii 60th anniversary event in February 2015, which also commemorated the 70th year since the end of World War II.

独楽繋ぎやつぼつぼ、青海波紋、菊唐草といった意匠が施された素晴しいお道具を拝見することができました。

We enjoyed viewing beautiful utensils decorated with various patterns, like komatsunagi (linked tops, seen on the mizutsugi yakan), tsubotsubo (seen on the rim of the furo), se’iga’ihamon (“blue waves,” seen at the bottom of the mizusashi), kikukarakusa (chrysanthemum arabesque, seen at the top of the mizusashi).
