Promptly after the arrival of the new year, our Shachu had our “hatsugama” (literally, “first pot”). Tenshin was served for lunch. Because it is osho’ugatsu (New Year’s holiday season), utensils selected were of higher grades than those for everyday use.
Vowing to dedicate ourselves to tea practice this year again, we enjoyed our time together. We would like to share that atmosphere with you through photographs.
