2月7日のお稽古・Lesson on Feb. 7 【号外です】

ところで先日のお菓子作りでお世話になりました三野宮さんがお菓子の差し入れをして下さいました。椿の花の形です。(これは上級者向けですね。)美味でございました。

By the way, Ms. San’nomiya who kindly helped us at the other day’s Sweets-making Class brought us some sweets.  They are in the shape of a camellia flower.  (I’d say this is for more advanced students to make….)  Delicious!

お干菓子盆は(ちっと過ぎましたが)節分に因みお多福でした。

The tray for higashi was Otafuku – the face of the Japanese version of Lady Fortune as it was (just a few days past) Setsubun.

「鬼の道具はなかろう」と思っていましたら、先生のお話では雷神のお茶器もあるそうです。節分に限らず夏でも使えそうですね。

I didn’t think any utensil would come with a demon (oni) painted on it – but our teacher said you could find a chaki with RaijinRaijin is the God of Thunder – but looks like oni.  That makes him suitable for Setsubun, as well as summer – which is the season of thunder storms in Japan.
